*Holiday* Day Three - Cockington Green, Canberra

After we finished at Jenolan Caves we headed straight to Canberra. Here we will be staying 2 nights at the beautiful Tradies Quality Apartments.

So our first little adventure in Canberra is The Cockington Green Gardens. Throughout the gardens are  meticulously crafted miniature buildings.

Here are a few of my favorite displays.

They also had an amazing little steam train for the kiddies to ride. Yes its big enough for the big kiddies/ adults to!

*Holiday* Day Two - Jenolan Caves

So day 2 seen us pack up early and get out of that shit Motel early! Was so glad to see the backside of that place.

We the made the hour trip to Jenolan Caves.

Coming into the place I was speechless! We actually drove through the cave.

With that view I already knew it was worth it.
There are several caves to choose from to go in. I choose the Diamond cave as it was an easy grade one perfect for kids.

Words can not describe this place. I was completely mesmerized!

The photos I have taken barley show the beauty of this cave.

I had NEVER seen anything like it before in my life.

At some points in the cave we had to duck to avoid wiping our selves out by rocks.

One day I hope we can go back so I can do all the caves as they are apparently all so very different.

Perfect recommended experience for all!

If you would like to see all my photos please head to my Facebook page!

*Holiday* Day One - Nelson Bay to Katoomba!

Boyo! We are so excited for this new adventure we are about to begin. So excited we were up hours before we planned on being up!

Our first stint was an easy 3 hour one to spend the night at Katoomba.

First stop coming into Katoomba was the Jamison Lookout.
I was lost for words.

A short stroll up the road then took us to Wentworth Falls Lookout. Couldn't see the falls the best but the views were once again breathe taking.

After visiting the Lookouts we arrive at our hotel. Echo Point Motor Inn. We thought that seeing as though we were only staying one night we would just go for cheap accommodation. That ended up being the biggest mistake ever. The place was absolute crap. Which is a shame because the staff were so lovely. It had a very overall dirty feel to it, dusty and smelly. There was no air con and I was afraid to use the fans as they had dust caked on them. The walls were dirty and cracked. It just seems like there is no care put into the place. The top off was when I had an allergy and asthma attack!  epppppppp!

Well enough about the shitty hotel then.

After getting ourselves organised in the hotel we decided to head to Scenic World and do the works =)

First we went down on the Cable way. The boys thought it was great.

Second thing we done was walk through the Heritage Rain forest. Scattered throughout it were left over items from the mining days.

After the walk we went up the train way... backwards. Thank goodness! I think I would of pooped my pants if we come down it.

Later on that evening we went down to Echo Point Lookout to get a closer look at the Three Sisters. I thought they were amazing from Scenic World but this was even more spectacular!

Please head to my Facebook album to view more pictures =)

Day 2 we continue our adventure to Jenolan Caves then through to Canberra.

Our Stay @ Beaches, Nelson Bay

Our end in Port Stephens is at the place our adventure first started here. Beaches Apartments in Nelson Bay...

Bit of a funny story when we arrived here yesterday, the reception put us in the wrong room. It was massive we had no idea why we were getting such a huge place! After she released the confusion we were moved to our real room. The exact same room we stayed in when we first got here!

I actually really love this place. It's quiet, friendly, and clean. The have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, even provide salt and pepper.

The rooms looked lovely before the kids trashed it.

Our balcony over looks the tropical set pool.

The only thing I don't like about the place is the step into the shower/ bath. Could be dangerous. But we managed just fine.

I will be sad to leave in the morning. But i can assure you if we ever come back to this place for a holiday we will be staying at beaches. =)

Here is my darling Zack over indulging in a chocolate cornetto.

Tomorrow we start the first leg of our trip! We are heading to Katoomba for the night.
Will try an update as soon as I can xx

This sums today up nicely......

Pretty glade that hubby is on record duty loading the truck! hehehehe

Today THIS Happened!

Today the wonderful packers from Allied Pickfords removals came and packed us up!
Best packers ever I must add! Considerate, Quick and friendly.
This massive interstate move is all so real now! No turning back.

Tomorrow all our belongings will get packed onto a truck and trained up to the Northern Territory!

Stay tuned for all the happenings of our trip!

A Walk A Day Challenge.... Day 4, Soldiers Point Pier

My walk a day challenge has kinda gooooooone out the window I think.
We had a few days rain and now we are so busy getting things ready for our move, the days just are not long enough.

I did get one day in though. It was a brief walk out to the Soldiers Point Pier one afternoon.

At some stages it feels incredibly weird walking along the pier as the gaps between the planks of wood are bigger. So when your walking one way and the current is going the other way it feels incredibly weird. A weird feeling I didn't like at all.

Before we left, Zackie had to chase the seagulls.

Craft Time: Handmade Kids Sticker Book!

Kids just love stickers! They also love sticking them on the walls, on the furniture, on the windows, on the carpet.... everywhere.

SO with the move coming up soon I really don't have the time to be carefully pulling stickers off the walls so I decided to make Zackie a cool little sticker book, out of a folder and scrapbook papers.

I use a ring binder folder, the smaller size I think its A3?

And an assortment of designs and sizes of scrapbook paper.

Firstly I laminated the pieces. Mostly so the pages are thicker as my son likes to stick them on, pull them off again.

Then cut all the pieces out.

Hole punch them.

Pop them in the binder folder.

Volia! we are done! Easy huh?

For hours of StickY FuN!

Best thing is you can add more pages as you please, and you don't only have to use scrapbook paper! You could use old magazine pages, paper bags, Kids painting, ohhhh the ideas are endless!
